Tübingen students take second place in research competition

The students had to analyze Software AG, a German-based software developer and provider of information technology (IT) platforms for businesses that is listed on the MDAX.

In the winter term 2022/23, five students, including an Erasmus exchange student from Spain, participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge under the supervision of our teaching assistant Ted Azarmi. The students had to analyze Software AG, a German-based software developer and provider of information technology (IT) platforms for businesses that is listed on the MDAX. Buy or sell recommendations were to be formed based on the company valuation performed. Among the eight participating teams from German universities, the students from Tübingen came in second behind RWTH Aachen and ahead of universities such as the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and WHU in Vallendar. As one of the participants put it, "We will always remember the experience of working with such great colleagues. We would also like to thank our professor Ted Azarmi for guiding us through the competition."
