Here you can find the general quality assurance plan for assistant professorships with tenure track of the University of Tübingen.

As of spring 2018, the new Baden-Württemberg State Higher Education Act will include the category of Tenure Track Professorship in § 51b. Until then, the term used is "assistant professor with tenure track." Therefore it is possible for people who hold such a W1 positions to call themselves and be called tenure-track professors. The calls for applications published on this part of the website are to fill such Tenure Track Professorships. It is possible to receive supplements to the basic salary for W1 positions and, thus, also for Tenure Track professors.

The following position is available in the Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Humanities beginning September 1th, 2022.
Lecturer non-tenured (German: Akademischer Rat auf Zeit)
(m/f/d; grade A 13)
The position will be filled on a civil servant basis for an initial period of three years. An extension by additional three years is planned following a positive evaluation. The responsibilities of the position holder include a teaching load of 4 hours weekly, according to the requirements of the LVVO, as well as research in the field of linguistic pragmatics (theoretical and/or experimental) by employing methods from statistics, machine learning and/or computational linguistics. The holder of the position is expected to work towards qualifying for appointment to a professorship by earning a habilitation or equivalent.
Requirements for employment are a completed PhD in a relevant field (linguistics, cognitive science, computational linguistics, etc.), the ability to teach in the field of linguistic pragmatics in English, and the ability to conduct independent scientific research in the field of linguistic pragmatics (as verified, e.g., by relevant publications). A further prerequisite for employment is either (i) experience with experimental methods in linguistic research and statistical analysis of empirical data, or (ii) experience with methods for mathematical or computer-based modeling of language use.
