In addition, you need to meet our criteria about your previous education (see FAQ, What we expect).
You need to have at least 20 points at the end of the selection process, to be elegible for admission.
We will offer a total of at least 35 places to the highest scoring applicants per year (spring+fall selection). Typically the fall intake is larger than the spring one. Depending on the quality of the applications, we may offer more than the minimum number of places.
A written English examination in basic biochemistry will be held twice a year in Tübingen. Participation in the written exam is recommended but you can apply relying only on your bachelor grade & CV, which means you can score a maximum of 45 points out of 65. You can repeat the exam once; the best grade counts. Results can then be used for your application at any time. If you want to take part, please send an email with the subject text entrance exam and your full name and contact adress in the body to claudia.heberle no later then 1 week before the exam date. This will automatically register you for the exam. The test normaly takes place on the Friday closest to the deadline, if not anounced differently. Only upon clearly stated written request, we can grant up to 5 additional points for the following items based on your CV: stipends and prizes, peer-reviewed publications, international study or related work experience of at least 6 months. Please provide the necessary documents for us to verify these achievements, alongside your informal request.
