The Department Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy has a specific interest in the needs of elderly people. It provides a special consultation hour for elderly patients with psychosomatic disorders. Furthermore, it participates in the interfaculty Prevention Centre and the Nutritional Medical Centre focussing especially on issues for the elderly. Another special interest of the Department is the development and evaluation of supportive therapy offers for relatives was well as research in the field of salutogenesis and health concepts.
