ECPR Rising Star Award to Dr. Sabine Volk

Dr. Sabine Volk has been awarded the 2025 Rising Star Award by the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR): https://ecpr.eu/news/news/details/911. The Jury unanimously agrees that Dr. Volk is an exemplary candidate for the 2025 ECPR Rising Star Award: “Dr. Volk’s profile combines exceptional academic achievement, profound social engagement, and tireless commitment to the political science community. Her trajectory is defined by intellectual rigor, innovative research, and a collaborative spirit that enriches the discipline. Her scholarly record is distinguished by depth and timeliness.” 

Dr. Volk was nominated by Prof. Dr. Léonie de Jonge, and the nomination was endorsed by Prof. Dr. Gabriele Abels (Director of the IfP / University of Tübingen), PD Dr. Rolf Frankenberger (IRex / University of Tübingen), Prof. Dr. Daphne Halikiopoulou (University of York), and Prof. Dr. Annika Werner (University of Southampton). Prof. Dr. Gabriele Abels, as Director of the IfP, warmly congratulates Dr. Volk on this outstanding recognition.

About the Rising Star Award: The ECPR Rising Star Award aims to recognise the achievements of an outstanding PhD student or early career researcher in their scholarly life so far and provide them with the opportunity to develop their network and skills even further with ECPR support.

Dr. Sabine Volk wurde mit dem Rising Star Award 2025 des European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR)ausgezeichnet:  https://ecpr.eu/news/news/details/911. Die Jury war sich einig, dass Dr. Volk eine herausragende Kandidatin für den Rising Star Award 2025 ist: „Das Profil von Dr. Volk vereint außergewöhnliche wissenschaftliche Leistungen, tiefes gesellschaftliches Engagement und unermüdlichen Einsatz für die Politikwissenschaft. Ihre Karriere ist geprägt von intellektuellem Engagement, innovativer Forschung und einem kooperativen Geist, der die Disziplin bereichert. Ihre wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch Tiefe und Aktualität aus.“

Dr. Volk wurde von Prof. Dr. Léonie de Jonge nominiert, die Nominierung wurde von Prof. Dr. Gabriele Abels (Direktorin des IfP / Universität Tübingen), PD Dr. Rolf Frankenberger (IRex / Universität Tübingen), Prof. Dr. Daphne Halikiopoulou (University of York) und Prof. Dr. Annika Werner (University of Southampton) unterstützt.
