Baden-Württemberg - North Carolina: Faculty Mobility Program 2027

In view of the cooperation between the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts, State of Baden-Württemberg, and The University of North Carolina System, it is intended to place more focus on the collaboration between researchers. For the year 2027, the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg will therefore give out grants for travel expenses for short research stays, which are intended to help establish new collaborations and strengthen existing partnerships.

Researchers from the nine research universities in Baden-Württemberg and the participating universities in North Carolina who are interested in establishing closer cooperations with partners in the other state and who want to be actively involved in the BW/NC program can apply for these grants.

For short-term stays of at least one week at one of the participating universities in North Carolina or Baden-Württemberg in the year 2027, a one-time fixed rate of EUR 1,200 will be granted.

The application deadline is 31 October 2026.
