About us

The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Department of Physics is a consultative committee of the Faculty council. It is composed of representatives from all status groups, i.e. female students, PhD students, scientific assistants, female non-academic staff , junior professors and professors.

In order to get to know each other and to establish contacts, we organize events for female students, e.g. the "PhysikerinnenCafe" and a regulars' table for female students, doctoral candidates etc. In addition, we are involved in the Faculty's university policy. One highlight every year is the joint trip to the Physikerinnentagung DPT (German Conference of Women in Physics).

The Equal Opportunities Committee is networked with the committees of the other Departments and cooperates with the Office for Gender Equality at the University of Tübingen.
