The text library sjalfala, which has been growing steadily since 2018, is a loose collection of texts that have been processed in the same way in terms of form with the aim of creating a learning version of the respective text that can be used for self-study or within a reading course. All words in a reading edition are lexically and grammatically annotated, so that the learner can easily refer to external dictionary entries as well as information on grammar and additional external grammars to make the content accessible to him/herself. In addition, some special features of Old Norse are annotated with translation aids.
