Tübingen Center for Digital Education

Transfer and Professional Development

The research area Transfer and Professional Development develops, implements and evaluates transfer strategies and teacher education training courses in all three phases of teacher training. The majority of the projects are part of the competence network lernen:digital. In this regard, the new online service "duo - digital und offen" is being set up in the context of the competence network's transfer office in order to promote bidirectional knowledge transfer and the exchange between science and practice. To achieve this, a clearinghouse for research results will be integrated and developed systematically.

This is done in close cooperation with other stakeholders, such as the Technical University of Munich and the Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education [DIPF]. TüCeDE is also active in the area of STEM competence centers with the joint project MINT-ProNeD, see next page. In collaboration with the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and the KI-Makerspace at the University of Tübingen, research is being conducted on how to promote critical reflection skills in dealing with artificial intelligence and, consequently, the transfer of media-ethical research in schools.

Guidelines for our cooperation with schools

In cooperation with TüCeDE, the following are involved in the network: HIB Tübingen, IfE, LEAD, TüSE and IWM.

At the Tübingen location, numerous university and non-university partners work together with educational practice in the field of education. Under the umbrella of the School Cooperation Network, guidelines have been developed that define a common objective, common cornerstones and quality criteria with regard to the design of school cooperation and inter-institutional cooperation. On the university side, the Hector Institute for Empirical Educational Research, the Institute of Educational Science, the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network, the Tübingen Center for Digital Education Tübingen and the Tübingen School of Education as well as the non-university Leibniz Institute for Knowledge Media Tübingen are involved in the network.
