The MINT classroom is used by student teachers as part of their courses to test and reflect on subject didactic knowledge in practice. In addition, it is used in the context of subject didactic and educational research as well as for the further training of teachers. For this purpose, the MINT classroom is equipped with both classic equipment for science classrooms, such as a fume hood, and numerous digital devices.
The cooperation of the MINT teaching subjects biology, chemistry, geography, computer science, mathematics, natural science and technology (NwT), and physics uses the classroom.
The MINT classroom was established with the support of the Vector Foundation a MINT classroom in the Tübingen School of Education (TüSE).
