Mihwa Lee

Mihwa Lee is a research scientist and doctoral candidate at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Tübingen. Her research examines students’ engagement patterns in higher and secondary education through the analysis of multimodal data, including digital trace data, self-reports, and interviews. She investigates whether and how students engage with learning tasks, as well as the motivational and contextual factors underlying their different engagement patterns. By integrating learning analytics with various educational theories, her work aims to deepen understanding of complex learning processes and to provide actionable insights that support data-informed teaching and learning practices.
