Tübingen School of Education (TüSE)

TüSE Open Access publication series

Let’s communicate! Scientific communication in the context of the open access publication series

With the TüSE series of publications Lehrerbildung. forschungsbasiert. anwendungsbezogen. verantwortungsbewusst (Teacher Education. research-based. application-oriented, and responsible) and Lehrerbildung. kreativ. innovativ. ungewöhnlich (Teacher Education. creative. innovative, unusual) the TüSE significantly underlines the Open Access strategy of the University of Tübingen and thus the TüSE's efforts in the context of Open Science in teacher education research. The TüSE series of publications are a clear statement in favour of free access to scientific knowledge.

With the publication series 1  Lehrerbildung. forschungsbasiert. anwendungsbezogen. verantwortungsbewusst , a peer-reviewed series was launched in 2020 that is able to bring to light the diversity of interdisciplinary research findings from the educational sciences, subject sciences and subject didactics and clarifies the clear research mandate of the TüSE. The series is published by Tübingen University Press (TUP) and appears in an open access format.

With the title Lehrerbildung. kreativ. innovativ. ungewöhnlich, a second series of publications has been established in 2021, which enables the publication of topics, approaches, impulses and ideas that are less prominently in the focus of the current scientific mainstream in the educational sciences, subject didactics and subject sciences in teacher education, but are nevertheless significant for the scientific discourse. The second series of the Tübingen School of Education is thus intended to promote contributions that think and develop topics and challenges relevant to teacher education in a ‘new’, ‘different’ and ‘against the grain’ way. The second series is published by Tübingen Library Publishing.

The target groups of the series are, depending on the content of the volume, researchers in teacher education, school and teaching research from the fields of education, subject didactics and subject sciences, students of teaching, trainee teachers, teachers and stakeholders in education policy and administration.
