In order to get a high-quality transmission in a videoconference, there are a few things that should be considered:
- The clothes should be as monochrome as possible, not checked or heavily patterned.
- Fast movements should be avoided.
If a presentation is used, it should be easy to read for the other party. To ensure this, it should meet the following requirements:
- landscape
- font size at least 24 pt
- no bright colors
- no strong contrasts
The transmission has a time delay of sound and images. Therefore, you should take longer speech breaks as usual in order to allow questions and objections of your conference partners.
To create a natural conversation situation, you should look directly into the camera while speaking. Unlike a conventional dialogue, there is no direct eye contact, so it is a bit irritating in the beginning not to see one's counterpart. However, if you look directly into the camera while speaking, the other side sees your eyes fixed on you.
