Recognition
The Center’s Examination Boards recognizes:
- Study certificates that you received from other institutions (interdisciplinary courses, key qualifications (internships), equivalent alternative courses for your semester abroad, study results that you achieved abroad)
- Study certificates for modules with different options for consideration (elective module, key qualifications, interdisciplinary studies) for your degree.
If you want us to take your study results into consideration, please proceed as follows:
Please submit an application for consideration of study results / examination results to the Center’s examination board. You can find a template on the right. You need to submit your application on paper and with an original signature. In your application, you should clearly specify for which module you want us to consider your results. If your certificates are without ECTS, please give exact details about the type of the course, amount of hours, duration, and your study and examination results. Please prove these details with corresponding excerpts of the lecture timetable and provide information on your source (website etc.) so we can verify your details. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Please attach the relevant study certificates in original and in copy to your application.
Please note that we can only process applications that comprise one or more complete module(s).
The examination board will subsequently decide on your application. The processing takes approx. 2 weeks. You will be informed on the result in writing. You can collect the originals of your study certificates after the processing from the examination board secretary’s office. The copies will remain with the examination board.
Recognition of your obligatory semester abroad
The recognition works in the main as indicated above. Once you have finished your semester abroad, please submit an application for recognition to the examination board.
Your application has to comprise:
- A letter with exact details on which result you want us to consider for which module. For your semester abroad, this is usually the General Specialization Module I and Interdisciplinary Competences for the Vocational Field. You can find a template for this letter on the right on the margin.
- Your original certificates / transcripts (in German or English, please!)
- Your final report. In addition, please send it to Ms Riester in form of a Word document.
The application needs to comprise or each course details on the type of the course, amount of hours, duration, and name of the teacher. Please prove these details with corresponding excerpts of the lecture timetable and provide information on your source. Inaccurate, incorrect, and incomplete details can lead to a rejection of your application.
Please note the deadline for submitting your final report! If you were abroad during the winter semester, the deadline is the following April 1st and if you were abroad during the summer semester, it is the following October 1st.
