Katerina Tsarava receives funding award for programming course

„Computational Thinking als kognitive Grundlage des Programmierens“

For the development of a teaching module for future teachers in the field of computer science, Katerina Tsarava has received a funding award of 8,900 euros from the Dr. Eberle Zentrum für digitale Kompetenzen at the University of Tübingen. The online lesson aims to introduce pupils from fifth grade onwards to the basics of programming. The project "Computational Thinking als kognitive Grundlage des Programmierens" is the result of a collaboration between the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology and the Department of Computer Science. It builds on a module for primary schools developed by Katerina Tsarava, Dr Manuel Ninaus (Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien) and Prof. Korbinian Moeller (Loughborough University).
