Postdoctoral researcher, with focus on microsociology

Since 2016, Laia Sánchez Guerrero is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Sociology. She holds a PhD from the European University Institute; a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Barcelona; a Master's degree on Public and Social Policies from the IDEC-Pompeu Fabra Unviesity & John Hopkins University; and a Master's of Research on Sociology and Demography from the Pompeu Fabra University. Previously, she has worked at the Consortium of Childhood and Urban World in Barcelona, as junior fellow researcher woking on policy-oriented research.

To discuss possible supervision of Bachelor thesis in Sociology, students should make an office hour appointment. A list of rough suggestions for thesis topics which currently are of particular interest to team members of the chair of microsociology can be found here. An overview of formal requirements for registration, submission and format of theses can be downloaded here. Students are required to download and include with their thesis a signed declaration of originality (Eigenständigkeitserklärung) in English.
