Guest at the Institute of Sports Science Tübingen: Prof. Dr. Unutmaz (Ege-University Izmir)

From May 22 to 26, 2023, Assist. Prof. Dr. Volkan Unutmaz from Ege University Izmir (Türkiye) was a guest at the Institute of Sports Science (IfS) at University of Tübingen within the frame-work of the Erasmus+ program.

During his stay in Tübingen, Prof. Dr. Unutmaz, who researches and teaches at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the Ege University Izmir in the department “Sport Management”, was involved in several courses at the IfS. As an expert for open water swimming, he introduced the students in Tübingen of the basic courses swimming (responsible: Dr. Alexia Schnell) as well as the advanced course swimming (responsible: Dr. Marcel Fahrner) to the special conditions and features of this swimming discipline. In the bachelor lecture "Principles of sport management" by Dr. Marcel Fahrner, Prof. Dr. Unutmaz took over a session on "Sport Event Management". In addition to the teaching and discussions at the IfS, there was also time to get to know Tübingen, the state capital Stuttgart and the typical Swabian cuisine.
