Dolam Children’s Home Trust (Namibia)

The Dolam Children’s Home Trust (DCHT) was founded by Rosa Namises in 1999. Since then, it helps children suffering from HIV/AIDS. The facility offers the children protection, hygiene, recreational facilities and clothing, and tries to strengthen them for their later lives through regular school attendance, vocational training and placement in foster families. Furthermore, the Dolam Trust strives to educate the population about AIDS and is involved in children's rights programs. Currently, 21 children between the ages of 5 and 18 live under the care of the Dolam Trust. The children usually live there until they are 18 years old.
