Department of Biology Degree Programs

Thank you for your interest in a degree course in biology at the University of Tübingen. Before applying, please read the following important information.

Bachelor of Science Biology

• Please take the time to familiarise yourself with this degree programme in advance. Details can be found here.
• The language of insctruction for this programme is German. Admission requires proof of German language skills (TestDaF 4444, alternatively DSH2).
• Applications are only possible for the winter semester (starting 1 October). The deadline for applications is 15 July.
• If you have a German secondary school leaving certificate (Abitur), you can apply for admission through the Central Student Administration Office, regardless of your nationality. Information on how to apply can be found here. The application portal can be found here.
• If you do not have a German secondary school leaving certificate but are an EU citizen, you can apply for admission through the Central Student Administration Office. Information on how to apply can be found here. The application portal can be found here.
• If you do not have a German secondary school leaving certificate and are no  EU citizen, then you must apply for admission through the International Office. Information can be found here.

Master of Science (4 degree programs)

• Please take the time to familiarise yourself with these programmes in advance. Details can be found here.
• As an international student, you must provide proof of German language proficiency (minimum A2), even though the language of instruction is English.
• Applications can be submitted for the winter semester (starting 1 October). Deadline  for applications is 31 May)
