Software development at TüCeDE deals with the conception, design and implementation of digital learning environments and tools. To this end, current technologies such as virtual and augmented reality are used in the newly-established Future Innovation Space (FIS), which is located at the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM). In particular, their potential for school education is researched, thus supporting the projects of the other work areas.
Technology for Learning
Currently, for example a VR application that visualizes exponential growth and makes it tangible is being developed in the research area in collaboration with the IWM and the Department of Mathematics. In addition, the language learning system "FeedBook" for English learning is being further developed, which uses artificial intelligence to give students individual feedback and contains learning analytics algorithms to provide teachers with information about students' progress and performance through innovative visualizations.
