Academic Opportunities in Tübingen – May 2025 wrapped up successfully

During the event, USP announced a new mobility program offering financial support for doctoral students to conduct research at the University of Tübingen, strengthening the partnership between the two institutions

The Baden-Württemberg Center for Brazil and Latin America at the University of Tübingen is pleased to announce that the second edition of the event Academic Opportunities in Tübingen: Tradition and Innovation was a great success. Held online on May 15, 2025, the event brought together around 150 participants from across Latin America, including master's students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and professors.

Throughout the sessions, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the University of Tübingen, its main research areas, available study and research opportunities, and practical guidance on how to access positions and funding at one of Germany’s top universities. The program included dedicated info-sessions in Portuguese and Spanish tailored to audiences from Brazilian and Hispanic American universities.

USP-Tübingen Mobility Program launched

A special highlight of the event was the announcement of a new mobility call for USP (University of São Paulo) doctoral students. The PRPG (Pró-reitoria de Pós-graduação, USP) in partnership with AUCANI and Santander, launched a program offering financial support for USP doctoral candidates interested in conducting research at the University of Tübingen (Germany). This initiative, announced during the event, reinforces the strong cooperation agreement between USP and the University of Tübingen, aiming to expand academic exchange and research opportunities.
