Debate under the Linden Tree (DudL): Journalism, land, and community: stories of resistance in Mexico and Latin America

The next Debate under the Linden Tree (DudL) will take place on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, at 12:15 p.m. at the Institute of Political Science (IfP), University of Tübingen.
Guest speaker Adriana Navarro Ramírez is an award-winning independent Mexican journalist specializing in environmental issues, conservation, and climate change. Drawing on her extensive experience reporting from Mexico and across Latin America, she will discuss how journalism documents struggles over land, environmental justice, and community resistance. She is also the author of several books on the Mesoamerican Reef System. The event will begin with a short presentation, followed by a discussion in English.
Snacks and drinks will be provided by POLIS.
Where: Institute of Political Science (Melanchthonstr. 36, 72074 Tübingen)
Ideally, in good weather, the event will take place in front of the Institute of Political Science under the linden tree. Otherwise, it will be held in Seminar Room 124.
