Dr. Julia Gresky is a tenured scientist and head of the Human Bioarchaeological Working Group at the Division of Natural Sciences, German Archaeological Institute (DAI). Her main research focuses on paleopathology with a special emphasis on the study of Ancient Rare Diseases. She is leading numerous projects on human bones worldwide dating from the Neolithic (the best known include Göbekli Tepe and Ba’ja) to the Medieval Period. In addition to her research, she is a guest lecturer at the Charité, FU, and Humboldt-University in Berlin. She is currently the Vice-President of the Paleopathology Association (PPA).
