Corinna Gall received the certificate for her widely read paper on biocrusts: overlooked hotspots of managed soils in mesic environments. Thomas Scholten and Steffen Seitz were involved in the work of Rémy Beugnon on biotic and biotic drivers of tree trait effects on soil microbial biomass and soil carbon concentration in Ecological Monographs.
