This panel focuses on the colonial legacies visible in today’s South-South relations. In particular, it addresses the continuities and discontinuities between Africa and Brazil, in a context of a “global village” marked by power struggles, and also by the production of subjectivities that may provide counternarratives to the colonial matrix.
