In which ways has the enforcement of hygienic and ‘social distancing’ protocols under the Covid-19 pandemic changed the aesthetic, affective and material dimensions of religious communities? This is one of several questions which speaker Carola Lorea addresses in the co-edited volume "CoronAsur: Asian Religions in the Covidian Age". This Global Encounters Lecture will be held as a book launch together with the Co-Editors who will participate via Zoom.

In his talk Professor Ali Asghar Mosleh discusses the relation between human and the Earth in terms of their physical/natural and theoretical/metaphorical aspects. With reference to philosophers such as Nietzsche and Heidegger, he will explore the gaps and challenges between philosophical attitude and technical attitude, encouraging reflection on the future of the Earth by relying on philosophical methods and traditions.
