Research topics

  1. Genome and protein diversity and conservation in pathogenic bacterial strains and species with a focus on outer membrane proteins and antimicrobial resistance genes:
    • MUSIAL: Visualization and analysis software to infer genome, gene and protein variability from multiple genotyping datasets.
    • PRESERVE: Pipeline for the survey of protein conservation to identify antibody targets.
  2. Collaboration with the TrepoGEN initiative to unravel the genomic landscape of Treponema pallidum and to develop an effective syphilis vaccine.
  3. Analysis of the post-translational modification landscape in bacteria:
    • PTMVision: Interactive web platform for exploratory visual analysis of post-translational protein modifications.
