It is with regret that we must inform you that, owing to unanticipated renovations being carried out at the Institute of Sports Science's swimming pool in Tübingen, no swimming tests will be conducted in Tübingen this year (2026) as part of the sports entrance examination.
The following regulations therefore apply to the sports entrance examination in Tübingen for the year 2026:
It is evident that a certificate of equivalence will be accepted for the swimming component. It is important to note that the administration of the swimming test must be conducted by a physical education teacher employed within a school setting. Certificates issued by external organisations, such as the DLRG, the police, or the German Armed Forces, will not be accepted as valid credentials for this test. Candidates are required to present the completed form at the time of the sports entrance examination. It is important to note that the validity of this certificate is exclusively limited to the city of Tübingen.
In the event that the option of undertaking a swimming test with a physical education teacher is not a possibility, applicants are requested to register for the sports entrance examination at a different university in Baden-Württemberg.
