Excellence Strategy

Industry Liaison Office

With the Industry Liaison Office, an effective infrastructure is available to realize consortial project ideas in a targeted manner. Furthermore, the staff members supervise and accompany the intramural funding program Innovation Grants, which represent an opportunity for postdocs to further develop the results of their doctoral thesis to market maturity. In addition, the Industry Liaison Office acts as a liaison for science with business, society and politics in the sense of knowledge transfer.

Successful examples of industry cooperation with social relevance are the LebensPhasenHaus (LPH), which provides technical support for long living in one's own four walls, and the Competence Center Archaeometry - Baden-Wuerttemberg (CCA-BW), in which the direct connection of humanistic-scientific-historical approaches with scientific-methodical developments is realized. The Mobile Activity Lab (MAL) is in the final stage to start investigating the causes of physical inactivity in the population using a wide variety of methods. For this purpose, visits to the different target groups with mobile laboratories for sports physiology, psychology and sports medicine are planned.

An important instrument for establishing innovative research and development as well as application-oriented teaching are Industry-on-Campus projects, in which industrial partners send scientists to the university campus, whose integration into university structures is supported by the Industry Liaison Office.

The integration into the Tübingen Research Campus also intensifies the networking of the scientific activities and the service facilities with the non-university research institutions in Tübingen.
Current calls for proposals, projects and information on networking can be found on the homepage of the Industry Liaison Office. A wide range of information material is available for download. Please also visit our blog, which provides information on various innovation topics.
