Living in a foreign country with an alien cultural and social surroundings can be intimidating sometimes – especially, if you are still lacking basic foreign language skills. To ease your start at the University of Tübingen and to help you enjoy your stay, the University of Tübingen offers some interesting events for international students and staff.

• How can I improve my German skills?

The prospectus of “German as a Foreign Language and Intercultural Programs” (Section 3 of the Division for International Affairs) comprises all kinds of German classes (preparatory, intensive, on-topic, and application-oriented). Furthermore, the ADaF (Abteilung Deutsch als Fremdsprache) can match you with a German tandem-partner and offers a four week long Summer Course.

• Do you sometimes feel like a stranger and wonder about life and people in Tübingen?

Ask for help during the Intercultural Consultation to talk about your experiences and seek more information (on Mondays 10-12:30 pm and 2-4 p.m., Wilhelmstr. 22, room 306)
