Tübingen Researchers, Thomas Euler and Philipp Berens, Receive Prestigious International Team Science Award for Groundbreaking Vision Research

TÜBINGEN, Germany – Two researchers from our Institute are part of a distinguished international team that has been awarded the inaugural RPB Transformational Team Science Award, a prestigious grant worth USD 950,000. The award recognizes the project Eyewire II, a globally significant research initiative at the intersection of neuroscience and vision science.

Representing Tübingen are Professor Thomas Euler (CIN, Research Institute of Ophthalmology), and Professor Philipp Berens (CIN, Hertie AI).
Together with two collaborators from the United States, they aim to create the first complete wiring diagram—or connectome—of the mouse retina.
