Lecture: Lorenzo Andolfatto, "National Parks in Taiwan: Taiwan Colloquium opening"

On Mon, May 13, 2024, Dr. Lorenzo Andolfatto will speak about National Parks as an instrument of nation building in Taiwan.

The opening session of the Taiwan Colloquium this summer term will be a presentation by Dr. Lorenzo Andolfatto, Senior Researcher of the Human Georgaphy Research Unit at the Department of Geosciences at the Universtiy of Fribourg, of his research project on the insitution of national parks in Taiwan. The talk which will be commented on by Dr. Kyonghee Lee (MPIWG, Berlin) is titled 'In between Nature and the Nation: Defining National Parks in Taiwan, 1933-1972'.
