The role of public universities in the pandemia scenario in Brazil

What are the roles of public universities in times of crises like the COVID pandemic? The initial focus of this conversation will be on medical and public health issues, but with the political context in which Brazilian society is nowadays confronted with, points to larger issues to be considered as well. Aspects related to what's being called the "anti-science culture", as well as social, economic, and ecological aspects ought to be included in when discussing the role public universities play, once they are, more than ever, part of the process of building conditions for wellbeing.
