Do you know that feeling of sitting alone in front of a mountain of study material, not knowing where to start? Or losing motivation because studying has become a lonely struggle? You're not alone! Many students battle with loneliness while learning – especially at a time when every second person under 30 feels lonely.

That's why we invite you: Let's discover a new way of learning together!

What awaits you?

In our Learning Lab, you'll discover the Interval Learning method – a scientifically proven technique that not only makes you more effective but, most importantly, brings back the joy of learning. What makes it special: You don't learn alone, but in a motivating community that supports and inspires you.

How does Interval Learning work? We divide your learning tasks into manageable packages that are completed within specific time intervals and under optimal conditions. The goal: increase motivation to start learning, work more effectively, and make progress visible – which creates even more motivation.

Our program for the evening:

Joint introduction to the Interval Learning method
Hands-on practice with your own study material
Energy station during breaks with tea and snacks (feel free to bring some!)
Guided reflection and experience sharing
Collaborative planning for your continued learning journey and the rest of the evening

What is the procedure?
5:00 PM – Introduction of the method and preparation of the intervals
5:35 PM – 1st interval; 25 minutes of focused work
6:00 PM – Break
6:10 PM – 2nd interval; 25 minutes of focused work
6:35 PM – Break
6:45 PM – 3rd interval; 25 minutes of focused work
7:10 PM – Guided reflection and experience sharing (30 minutes)
7:45 PM – End

Why does this help against loneliness?
Learning often becomes an isolating experience. Our Learning Community creates the opposite: You'll experience that others face the same challenges, you can motivate and support each other. This sense of community fulfills a psychological basic need that's essential for intrinsic motivation.

Meet new people, grow together, become more effective – all in the best learning environment: the university library.

What do you need to bring?
Simply bring learning material you're currently working on – for example, content from a lecture you want to prepare for or review.

Join the "Night Against Loneliness" – because learning is better together!
