Arriving by plane
The two nearest airports are Frankfurt/Main and Stuttgart.
- From Frankfurt airport visitors need to take the train and will have to change at least once in Stuttgart; travelling time: approx. 2-3 hours.
- From Stuttgart airport there is a bus shuttle to Tübingen: bus 828 (airport-sprinter). It runs twice per hour, travelling time around 70 minutes.
- From Tübingen main station you can take the buses 1, 2, 4, 7, 21 until the stop Uni/Neue Aula.

Arriving by train
Deutsche Bahn (German railroad company, abbreviated DB) to Stuttgart main station (Hbf)
DB from Stuttgart main station to Tübingen main station; runs every hour, travel time approx. 60 minutes.
From Tübingen main sation (Hbf) visitors have a choice of buses which will all go to Uni/Neue Aula, e. g. the bus lines 1, 4, 7, and 2. The bus station is opposite the main station and the nearest stop to our department is Uni/Neue Aula.

Arriving by car
The four-lane Bundesstraße B27 leads directly from the motorway 8 (Autobahn 8) to Tübingen.
→ take the 2nd exit in the direction to Böblingen/Lustnau
→ at the 3rd crossroads turn left into Wilhelmstraße
→ follow this road which will later be called Mohlstraße, then Haußer- and finally Hölderlinstraße
→ turn left at the crossroads Gmelinstraße and reaching Wilhelmstraße turn left again. The Hegel-building is at number 36 (next to the university library).
