School of Business and Economics

Events

Do you have questions about career planning and job opportunities? Do you already know in which area or professional field you would like to work after graduating?

Find events where experts from the field, often alumni, pass on their experiences to you. You can also make contacts that make it easier for you to start your career. On this webside we display coming events to help you with your networking, job orientation and practical experiences.

As most of our events are in German, you may find more on our German website.

For the events that are held in German, as well as for internships and positions, good knowledge of German (level B1-B2) is generally required.

Events held in English will be listed below.

Bachata Dance Night - Reloaded

Fancy a relaxed evening of dancing with a great atmosphere, friendly people, and a touch of the Caribbean? We warmly invite you to a Bachata night that kicks off with a short dance class (approx. 45 min.).

No prior experience necessary—the class is for anyone who wants to move and have fun.

We’ll be dancing Bachata Moderna, which isn’t very “close-contact,” and the first steps and figures are easy to learn, even for absolute beginners.

Individuals and couples are welcome!

We usually switch partners during the class, but if you’d rather dance with a regular partner, you’re welcome to do so. The gender division isn’t strict—everyone can identify as a “follower” or “leader.”

When dancing, leaders and followers are dance partners who take turns. The leader leads the dance, while the follower responds and interprets the leader’s movements.

If there happens to be a slight surplus of followers or leaders: no problem—we’ll just take a 3-minute break before continuing.

As is typical for the university, the class begins and ends by transforming the seminar room into a dance hall and clearing the tables together. Non-German speakers welcome!

When? June 12, 2026 | 7–9 p.m.

Cost: 5 €

Reunion 2026

The non-profit alumni and support association of the Department of Economics cordially invites all alumni and interested students of economics to its large networking event. The “Reunion” now replaces the former “Alumni Reunion.” Since the event traditionally takes place on the last Saturday in June in even-numbered years, we are very pleased to welcome you on June 27, 2026!

The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a real Tübingen classic: a joint punting trip on the Neckar River. Afterwards, our alumni from all walks of life and regions will join interested students at a shared table. Refreshments will be provided: we will enjoy lunch together at Neckawa, where the relaxed atmosphere by the water offers the ideal setting for extensive conversation and exchange.

We look forward to seeing you all again at this year's “Reunion” and cordially invite you to join us!

You can find the link to register here.

This event is generously financed by our Alumni-Association “WiWi-Netzwerk Tübingen e.V.
