Our funding

Two Funding Lines at the Center for Francophone Worlds
 the Center for Francophone Worlds (ZFW) sponsors research projects and teaching-related projects via two separate funding lines.
1.    Sponsorship for research projects:
Academic collaboration in a research project requires preparation – and time for joint reflection and discussion.
The Center for Francophone Worlds would like to provide this support:
It therefore provides funding of up to €2,000 for proposals to develop research projects related to Francophonie at the University of Tübingen.
You may apply for:
- Funds for work-related meetings and workshops that serve to develop a research project;
- Travel costs for meetings with project partners in Francophone countries;
- Funds for the exploration of research topics related to Francophonie that have the potential for development into projects.
Funding amount:
The funding provided by the Center may be up to €2000 and is generally limited to a maximum of one application per year per applicant and per planned cooperation.
Application deadline: the next round of tenders will take place in November 15th 2025 (for implementation in 2026)
2.    Sponsorship of teaching-related projects
The following will be preferred:
- Guest lectures related to the objectives of the Center
(reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs, including – after consultation – speakers’ fees to a maximum of € 300 per lecture for external guest speakers)
 - Francophonie-related guest lectures within courses, provided they are open to a university-wide audience
- guest lectures related to the objectives of the Center in research contexts in Tübingen
- thematically relevant workshops
- student initiatives with a francophone connection
- participation in academic events related to Francophonie and which have an added value for the University
- subsidization of student excursions with a francophone connection, as part of study programs
- publication costs
- teaching visits to Francophone countries
- other initiatives with added value for the University and thematic relevance
