The call for 2024 is open. The deadline for applications is 1 May 2024.
Every year, the TüSE honours outstanding qualification theses written at the University of Tübingen in the field of teacher education, school and teaching research.
In doing so, the TüSE not only makes high-quality qualification theses (dissertations, master's theses and state examination theses) particularly visible, but also provides incentives for future research work in the aforementioned field.
Thanks to the support of the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Universitätsbund, an award including prize money (dissertations: €500; master's theses and state examination theses: €250) can be given for each of the following qualifying works.
Which types of qualification theses can be submitted?
The award can be given for outstanding dissertations in the fields of didactics, educational science or subject-specific science. The work submitted for the award procedure must clearly demonstrate a connection to the topic of teacher education, school and teaching research.
State examination theses and Master's theses with a subject-didactic or educational science focus can be submitted for the award. Subject-specific qualifying theses with a clear thematic reference to teacher education, school and teaching research can also be submitted. This includes Master's theses (including those outside the Master of Education) that were written within the aforementioned thematic complex.
The review process of the submitted qualification theses is carried out in a criteria-driven manner by the intensive work of reviewers from various fields, who are requested by the TüSE.
