Tübingen Lectures in Sport Economics

In this winter term, researchers from the US, England and the Netherlands will talk about their current research on the consequences of COVID-19 among tennis players, sports as a promising setting for behavioral economics analyses as well as international assortative matching in the European labor market.

Invited by the Institute of Sports Science (Research Group in Sport Economics, Sport Management & Media Research) and the Tübingen Data Science and Sports Lab three renowned researchers will present their current work in sport economics.

On November 29, Professor Heather Stephens (West Virginia University) talks about „Gendered Consequences of COVID-19 Among Professional Tennis Players“ (4.15 pm, via ZOOM). In 2023, there are two talks by Professor Ignacio Palacios-Huerta (London School of Economics) on „The Beautiful Dataset“ (January 11, 2.00 pm via ZOOM) and Professor Thomas Peeters (Erasmus School of Economics) on „International Assortative Matching in the European Labor Market“ (February 1, 2.00 pm via ZOOM).
