Tübingen Lectures in Sport Economics

Researchers of the Molde University College and the Lancaster University will talk about their current research in sport economics.

Invited by the Institute of Sports Science (Research Group in Sport Economics, Sport Management & Media Research) and the Tübingen Data Science and Sports Lab researchers will present their current work in sport economics.

On June 18, Professor Alex Krumer (Molde University College) gives a talk about "Ask not what economics can do for sports - Ask what sports can do for economics”.

Professor Rob Simmons (Lancaster University) gives two different lectures during his stay in Tübingen. On July 2, he talks about "A comparison of player labour markets in North America and Europe” (12:30 pm (CEST), Hörsaal 2, Neue Aula), followed by a presentation of his paper titled "Race and coaching hierarchy in the National Football League” (July 3, 1:00 pm (CEST), FSR Nauklerstraße 48).

All students and colleagues interested in these topics are cordially invited.
