School of Business and Economics

Double Degree option with Université Aix-Marseille

Graduates of the double-degree option with the Université Aix-Marseille spend one academic year (5th/6th semester) at the partner university and thus acquire a particularly high level of interdisciplinary skills. They develop an understanding of country-specific aspects and traditions in economic analysis and, in particular, intercultural competence. Students' resulting heightened awareness of different approaches and perspectives is reflected in their communicative skills. At the same time as the B.Sc. in International Economics, you will also acquire a degree from the partner university. A separate application is required for this option during the first year of study.

Course of study

One degree program - two degrees

Applicants who are admitted to the double-degree option earn the degree of the partner university at the same time as the B.Sc. in International Economics. At the Université Aix-Marseille, they earn a Bachelor in Economics and Management.

Change to the double degree track - course of studies

The double-degree option is the same for Tübingen students in the first year of study. Students from the partner university spend the first year at their home university. In the second year, 18 ECTS credits are earned in Tübingen through compulsory modules. A further 42 ECTS credits are earned through modules from the compulsory elective area, including language courses worth up to 12 ECTS credits. The second year of study is taught entirely in English. In the third year, students earn 60 ECTS credits at the partner university.

Students on the double-degree option focus on modules in the field of economics both at the University of Tübingen and at the partner university. At the same time, they have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the language and cultural area of the partner university.
