About
Mario Schädel currently holds a biostatistician position in the Palaeoanthropology lab. He is responsible for the strategic planning and the maintainance of the IT infrastructure and imaging equipment, but is also involved in the analysis of morphological data. Mario is a palaeontologist by training, with his main focus of interest being the study of fossil arthropods. His technical interests are the adoption of cutting-edge imaging and visualisation techniques (high magnification macrophotography, multi light imaging, digital rendering techniques, etc.). Mario is a strong proponent of free and open source software and an avid Linux desktop user.
