Jörg Baten holds the Chair of Economic History at the University of Tübingen. He earned his PhD from the University of Munich and is Member of the Academia Europaea, the Executive Committee of the International Economic History Association (IEHA) as well as Member of the Board of Trustees of the Cliometric Society. Professor Baten is also Co-Editor of the Journal Economics & Human Biology and a CEPR research fellow.
