Cognitive Science in Tübingen

Welcome to the Cognitive Science Center (CSC) at the University of Tübingen!

This center bundles the diverse expertises in relation to cognitive science at the University of Tübingen, including the subjects of psychology, computer science, linguistics, neurobiology, neuroscience, philosophy and others. The center is an entry point for students, industry partners, and researchers at the University of Tübingen as well as world-wide. The CSC mediates between the factulies and has its own internal regulations within the university. Its aim is to coordinate research and the courses of studies in cognitive science.

Cognitive Science studies how we learn, think, pay attention, behave, interact with others, and how we understand our world (to a certain extent). It does so by studying human and other animal behavior on the one hand and by building models and artificial systems, which mimick such behavior, on the other hand. The CSC is thus the link between the artificial and biological sciences, between the humanities and artifcial intelligence, between philosophy and physics, between natural intelligence and machine learning.
