Im Rahmen der Ukrainian Week in Germany: Ukrainian-German Academic Cooperation and Cultural Diplomacy veranstaltet die Universität Tübingen am 14. Oktober 2026 einen Tag, der der ukrainisch-deutschen akademischen Zusammenarbeit, der Kulturdiplomatie und dem gesellschaftlichen Austausch gewidmet ist. 

Der erste Teil der Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt und umfasst die feierliche Unterzeichnung eines Memorandums of Understanding mit dem Ukrainischen Institut, die Vorstellung der Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, zwei Podiumsdiskussionen sowie eine studentische Postersession. Im Mittelpunkt stehen erfolgreiche Beispiele ukrainisch-deutscher akademischer Zusammenarbeit, aktuelle Herausforderungen und neue Perspektiven für die Kooperation sowie Fragen der kulturellen Diplomatie, der gesellschaftlichen Vielfalt und der Resilienz. 

Der zweite Teil umfasst die Vorführung des Dokumentarfilms Sie und der Krieg: Geschichten innerer Stärke auf Deutsch mit ukrainischen Untertiteln. Anschließend findet ein Gespräch mit der Regisseurin Tetiana Vysotska, ukrainischen Forschenden und Kulturschaffenden auf Deutsch mit Ukrainisch-Deutsch-Dolmetschung statt.
