The Stafforst Lab seeks two motivated PhD students
to investigate RNA base editing as a potential treatment for diseases of the CNS and retina. Join our interdisciplinary team to develop innovative therapies based on AAV-delivered CLUSTER guide RNAs (Reautschnig et al. Nat. Biotech. 2022) or RESTORE oligonucleotides (Merkle et al. Nat. Biotech. 2019) to treat vision loss and Parkinson´s disease. Gain valuable experience in bioengineering, ASO design, and preclinical drug development. Both projects can start as soon as possible and are initially limited to a three-year contract.
