Jule Janczyk studied political science and history with a special interest in political theory and modern and recent history. Following this up with a second degree program, she read Educational Science with a focus on critical educational theory. Subsequently, she graduated with the Master’s program "Bildung and Education: Culture - Politics - Society".

Jule Janczyk is interested in the influence of the history of thought, respectively political theory on concepts of man as such, as they are deeply connected to notions of education and upbringing. Regarding this area of interest, she especially takes to approaches of ideological criticism as well as reflexive sociology.

In addition, she is concerned with the poles of individual and society and the crucial role of education, upbringing and socialization in this area of conflict. To understand the process of sociation, she also draws on sociological and cultural theory.
