The University of Tübingen has joined forces with ten other European universities to form the „CIVIS – A European Civic University“ alliance. Together, the partner universities want to promote international student exchange. The alliance is funded as a “European University” under the EU's “ERASMUS+” program.
CIVIS for researchers and teachers
CIVIS enables new forms of international cooperation. The projects and activities of the CIVIS alliance are designed to promote and facilitate cooperation between researchers at CIVIS partner universities.
The CIVIS Alliance offers short-term programs (Blended Intensive Programs) that include an online course phase and a short mobility phase. Students participating in a CIVIS BIP need all the usual Erasmus documents to receive Erasmus mobility funding for the physical part. For assistance in creating the Learning Agreement, questions about recognition/credit transfer, etc., please contact the ERASMUS coordinators (the usual Erasmus conditions apply). Further information on the CIVIS Blended Intensive Programs
Students of the German Department can also apply for exchange places for longer study stays at the following universities within the framework of CIVIS.
The application process is similar to that for the Erasmus+ exchange program. Information can be found on the websites of the German Department and the International Office.
