The Center for Interdisciplinary Media Research (ZiM) aims to foster the scientific dialogue about salient areas of historical as well as contemporary media culture. Accordingly, the Center for Interdisciplinary Media Research (ZiM) intends to intensify communication and cooperation between the humanities and social sciences at the University of Tübingen and the surrounding region.

In order to do so, the Center for Interdisciplinary Media Research (ZiM) will pursue activities that help research projects in the context of interdisciplinary media research to emerge and to connect to each other. This includes providing information about thematically pertinent events at the University of Tübingen, supporting and connecting junior researchers, and promoting the teaching of courses on interdisciplinary media research in the faculty of humanities and beyond.
