By public transport
- Take the train to Stuttgart main station
- Take the Interregio-Express (IRE) or the Regional-Express (RE) to Tübingen. Departures approx. hourly, journey time 45 or 60 minutes
- From the bus station (outside Tübingen main station) take the TüBus line 1, 2, 6, 7 to the Lothar-Meyer-Bau stop, journey time approx. 5 minutes
- After getting off the bus, go about 30 metres back along the route you have just travelled. Brechtbau (Wilhemstrasse 50) is on the left

Route from motorway exit Stuttgart-Degerloch/Tübingen/Reutlingen (A8 onto the B27):
Journey time: 25 minutes
- Take the B27 to the exit for Tübingen-Lustnau (sign indicates Böblingen, Tübingen, B 464/Stuttgarter Strasse)
- Continue straight after the town sign, then filter left after the second crossroads
- At the third crossroads (Restaurant "Hendlhaus") turn left onto Wilhelmstrasse (approx. 500 m after the town sign)
- Follow the priority road (just 1 km including a right turn), and you will get to Hölderlinstrasse
- Take the second road on the left (Keplerstrasse)
- Turn left at the second crossroads; you will be on Wilhelmstrasse
- The Brechtbau is just 100 m further (right, Wilhelmstrasse 50)
- There is free parking after about 50 m on the left, on the "Schiebeparkplatz" (the entrance is not very noticeable)
Route from motorway exit Herrenberg (A81):
Journey time: 25 minutes
- Follow the main road, and drive through Entringen and Unterjesingen
- At the sign for Tübingen continue straight (the industrial site is on the right)
- Filter to the far left after the Total service station (left), and turn left onto Westbahnhofstrasse (towards the centre - Zentrum; do not go straight on through the tunnel)
- Follow the road for 1 km (past the fire station)
- Turn left just past the "Museum" cinema; you will be on Wilhelmstrasse
- The Brechtbau is about 400 m along this road (Wilhelmstrasse 50)
- There is free parking after about 50 m on the left, on the "Schiebeparkplatz" (the entrance is not very noticeable)
